There are countless tools available on the internet to help plan travel, but sifting through them to find the gems can be overwhelming, to say the least… Oftentimes people throw their hands in the air and never plan the trip, or use the tools they find first which may not be the best ones...
We love to have new experiences and are always thinking about what we want to do next and how to make it happen! Though we love taking steps forward, it’s great to look back sometimes… we learn from our experiences, understand how to make our future experiences even better, and celebrate how far we’ve come. Before closing the 2016 chapter, we sat down and thought about the year… 2016 started in Placencia, Belize and we anticipated one of our biggest travel years yet… what follows are our highlights…
In many areas of the world it’s a dreary time of year and we long for blue sky, sun, and warmth. I feel good just thinking about it… the beach is calling! About a year ago Todd and I were researching travel trailers to purchase in the spring. We were first timers, and had no idea where to start! One of my friends suggested that we go to the RV show in early January and purchase our trailer there. My thought was… Are you crazy? Those shows are overly crowded places where people just go to look around. Plus, they probably jack up the prices! I couldn’t have been more wrong!...
During our Great Lakes adventure last summer we intentionally skipped the western shore of Lake Michigan… why? A bit part was to avoid towing the trailer through Chicago! When planning a long weekend this fall we thought about a lot of destinations… we decided on Chicago for a lot of reasons… to visit family and friends, to experience the western shore of Lake Michigan, and to see if Chicago is really as cool as advertised. I had been to Chicago for work many times, but this was different… we had a fabulous time… Chicago is really a city for everyone!...
