In Chicago there are a bunch of different things to do. I only did 3 of them, but I'm guessing there are a bunch more... we could only get to so many things in 3 days! My parents don't like to do too many things and rush around a whole bunch...

I went on a hayride that was supposed to be "magical" where you plant "magical pumpkin seeds" and use "magical water". After planting we went on a little hayride... when we returned "magically" pumpkins appeared. I caught on to what was really going on, because pumpkin seed was still there... it was a dead give away!
Probably one of the most interesting parts of this trip was me carving a pumpkin by myself! It was really fun to make my pumpkin look however I wanted.
Before I went trick or treating my mom made me go in the parade with Yogi Bear. It was kind of embarrassing when my mom kept walking next to the parade and saying "Daniel I'm right over here"! I almost jumped the line!
When I went trick or treating I got a full bucket of candy! Probably the best I got were Twix and Kit Kat. I know my mom is just waiting for her chance to swipe some... I wish I had a safe!!!

We went canoeing on the Au Sable River. It was really cool. I never went canoeing before. My parents were the ones paddling… I didn’t do much paddling. We stopped about half way from our destination and I got to see fish and a few frogs. The frog were on sand dunes…it was crazy to see frogs on sand dunes!...

We were at a campground that is called Timber Ridge. If you’re looking for serenity, you’re not going to get it there… you’ll get music at 10pm! There are some good things… there are activities for kids. There’s a dodgeball game every night that’s lots of fun. There was another activity called the candy canon...

I went on a dune ride. We went over about 20 different dunes in a Jeep. We rode over these things called woop-di-woops. They are these little dunes that you go over and they bounce you up and down. We also went on another dune that you go straight up and full speed on power… I thought that one was awesome!...
