I went to Snowshoe, it was about a 6.5 hour drive... I got a little bored for a while. Enough about that... we stayed at a hotel named Allegheny Springs. I really liked the hotel... there was so much stuff to do around it and it was in the center of the village...

Hocking Hills... A Fantastic Fall Quick Trip!!
Are you interested in some of the most amazing natural beauty in the US? Do you think you have to go to someplace like Colorado or Utah to see it? OK, Colorado and Utah are pretty cool… but Ohio’s Hocking Hills is pretty cool too! We’ve been to Hocking Hills a couple of times and keep going back… it really is that great. Though most times of the year are great for a Hocking Hills trip, the fall is spectacular… great weather for hiking, beautiful fall leaves, and easy access makes it a great quick trip for families during the school year!
An Awesome Long Weekend in Snowshoe, WV!
8/26/16, at about 8pm… Friday night fun! One of our favorite family activities is enjoying live music on YouTube… we sing, we dance, we talk about the performances… Daniel was lamenting that he never gets to go to concerts with us. We were watching an awesome new song by Matisyahu, Storm Tossed, and Todd commented that we could probably take Daniel to a Matisyahu concert. Todd looked up Matisyahu’s tour and realized that he’d be playing the next weekend in Snowshoe, WV, at a free live music festival! We’d been to Snowshoe before and knew it would be a great family atmosphere…
Frankenmuth... Michigan's Little Bavaria!
From the start of the trip we weren’t sure how we’d spend our last couple days. We knew we’d need to make it far enough south to be within 4 hours of home (we don’t like to drive more than 4 hours with the trailer) and assumed we’d end up in the Bay City area. As we looked for campground options and must see/do places nothing jumped out at us. Then we looked inland a bit and found a Yogi Bear’s Jellystone campground (Daniel’s favorite) within walking distance of Frankenmuth… perfect!...

We went canoeing on the Au Sable River. It was really cool. I never went canoeing before. My parents were the ones paddling… I didn’t do much paddling. We stopped about half way from our destination and I got to see fish and a few frogs. The frog were on sand dunes…it was crazy to see frogs on sand dunes!...
