How much fun do I have? Think of a time when I remember having lots of fun… What was I doing? Why was it fun? Do it again! If I don't think I can't, why not? What other fun things can I start to do to make life more fun?...
Fare The Well by Brad Corrigan (aka Braddigan)
Sometimes we have to let go of somebody, something, or some vision and come back to it later, when it's meant to be a part of our lives. Fare The Well by Brad Corrigan (also recorded under the name Braddigan) is a beautiful song that reminds us to let go... "fare the well" to what we're letting go of, no matter how painful it is...

Leading From Within... Poetry That Sustains the Courage to Lead by Sam M. Intrator and Megan Scribner
One of the most touching gifts I've received is the book Leading From Within… Poetry That Sustains the Courage to Lead by Sam M. Intrator and Megan Scribner. From the forward by Madeleline Albright through the book, leaders from all walks of life share the poetry that inspires them most and why. Learning about the experiences of these leaders and what has touched their souls is a powerful reminder that we all yearn for inspiration and search for courage, and that we are all leaders...
Ain't No Man by The Avett Brothers
Ain't No Man by The Avett Brothers is a super uplifting song about looking inside ourselves for courage, love, and purpose. It also reminds us that there are all kinds of things around us that can pull us away from our paths, but if we are focused on love and purpose there "ain't no man" who can pull us off course...

Waiting For The End by Linkin Park
Do you ever wonder how you got to where you are now? Is it what you expected? Maybe it looks like you expected, but how does it feel? Check out Waiting For The End by Linkin Park… the emotion and energy are awesome… the lyrics remind us that we all end up in places in life that aren't exactly as we expected and it's up to us to figure out how to move on. Sometimes we don't know how to do it, but if we wake up every day committed to moving forward we will...
Ego Is The Enemy by Ryan Holiday
Want a refreshing take on what drives success and impact? Check out Ego Is The Enemy by Ryan Holiday. When we stop looking at all the outside forces that hinder our success and stand in our way, and instead look inside we find the real obstacle… our egos. The author draws from fascinating historical figures, and from his own personal experience, to demonstrate how destructive our egos can be, and the impact we can make when we stop focusing on our rise to the top and instead focus on the task at hand...
Where is my ego most active?
When I think about what I am trying to accomplish, am I more focused on what's in it for me and how it will make me look, or am I more focused on the need being served? Do I ever react to a situation thinking… "do they know who I am"? Am I unable to move forward with something I know I need to do because I feel inadequate and am scared of others seeing me fail? Thinking through these questions will help us find where our egos are most active...
Finding Our Passions... Our Dislikes Reveal A Lot...
We all do things that we don’t like doing. There are things that we accept as simple necessities, like cleaning for example (I don’t like cleaning!). But other dislikes can be really disruptive and prevent us from finding and using our passions… not liking a skill that we’ve built our careers around or making a home in an area that we aren’t comfortable with are big deals. If we aren’t honed in on precisely what we don’t like we may mistake our dislike for something else much broader like a career, relationship, organization, etc. Often people start to feel like life is just going through the motions and envisioning being passionate about anything becomes a challenge...
Laugh!!!
When was the last time I laughed? Life can get really serious if we let it. Laughing breaks it up, lightens the mood, and helps us remember how it feels to be really joyous. Interested in more information? Check out The Laughter Clubs of India... they were started about 10 years ago by Dr. Matan Kataria who wants to spread laughter throughout the world. There are currently 3,000 laughter clubs in India! There appear to be a number of laughter clubs and projects in the US too... the idea is catching on!...
The Book of Secrets: Unlocking the Hidden Dimensions of Your Life by Deepak Chopra
If you're looking for a book that will challenge you to go deep and really understand yourself, check out The Book of Secrets: Unlocking the Hidden Dimensions of Your Life by Deepak Chopra. This book made me think about the good, bad, and ugly… it wasn't always easy to read, but I benefited greatly from it. I really enjoy Deepak Chopra's insights from the spiritual and scientific perspectives... he blends these two perceived opposite forces to open us to new ways of thinking... very powerful stuff!...
